Off Beat Hi-Hat Grooves (Part 1)

In this lesson we will apply off-beat hi-hats to 7 simple bass drum patterns. It may seem like a really easy concept, however, without a strong internal pulse it can be tricky to line up all of those off beat hi-hats on the "ands" of the beat. Make sure you can play the "7 Essential Grooves" before attempting to apply off beat hi-hats. These seven grooves are a gateway to so many songs, you'll need to be able to drop in and out of them with ease.
